You Should Recognize the People Around You

Many people don't realize how much we should value people that make scary situations less scary until they're not there to do that. My first reason is because you can snuggle up with them when you are scared. A couple of times someone had this happen are in these stories. One time at the Franklin Fun Fair, I saw Mrs. Michael dressed as a clown and I was really scared of clowns then. I started crying and my mom picked me up and snuggled me. Here is another time that snuggling comforted someone. My sister was scared to go upstairs by herself because of "MONSTERS." So, we would always have to go up with her and we would hug her to protect her from the "MONSTERS" in our house.
My second reason is that they can sing to try and cheer you up. I have a couple of narratives right here of when this happened. Singing cheers you up when you see a king cobra in the wild. Singing cheers you up when you hear something scary. Singing cheers you up when you're at your house all alone. Singing cheers you up when you see a horror movie bed. Here's the other story. One time at a show called Kooza my sister was selected from the crowd and was taken on stage. She was nervous and started humming and it cheered her up.
My last reason is because they can take the attention off of whatever is scaring you and put it on them. Here are a couple of times that this has happened. My mom is kind of scared of ski lifts. She felt more comfortable that we were on the lift with her because we engaged her in conversations and distracted her from being afraid of falling off. Here is my other example of when this happened. My sister was afraid of dogs last year and went to one of her friends houses. Her friend asked her if she wanted to see Happy's crate and she wasn't sure but they took her anyway. Just having her friend with her comforted my sister because they distracted her from being scared of the dog.
This make me think that we should honor all the people around us that are trying to help in a scary situation.
